NewsAll Saints ringers AGMThe Annual General Meeting of the Company of Ringers of All Saints, Northampton, took place in the church on Wednesday 20th March 2013, with Fr David McConkey, Priest in Charge at All Saints, in the Chair. Tower Captain, Bridget Paul, reported on a successful year. All officers were re-elected; Bridget Paul as Tower Captain, Barbara Starmer as Minute Secretary, Debbie Sampson as Treasurer and Peter Craddock as Steeple Keeper. PDG Daventry BranchMembers of the Daventry Branch of the PDG will visit two Town Centre churches during 2013 as part of the Branch's programme of meetings. On March 9th Holy Sepulchre wasthe venue and on July 13th it will be the turn of St Giles to host the practice. In each case ringing will take place between 6.45pm and 8.15pm. University ringers visit NorthamptonMembers of both the Cambridge University and Oxford University ringing societies visited Northampton on Saturday 26th February 2013. Ringing took place at All Saints between 3pm and 4pm and at St Peter's between 4.30pm and 5.30pm. Raving Ringers visit NorthamptonThe Society of Raving Ringers spent the weekend of 11th, 12th and 13th of January in Northamptonshire. On Saturday afternoon members visited All Saints and rang for an hour. Ringing included Stedman Caters, Grandsire Caters and London Surprise Royal. Young ringers in NorthamptonYoung ringers from all over the country assembled in Northampton on Saturday 19th January for a full day's ringing. The day began at Holy Sepulchre at 11am followed by an hours ringing at St Giles which began at 12noon. After lunch the ringers visited St Peter & St Paul, Abington, at 2.45pm and All Saints at 3.45pm before completing the day's activities at St Peter's where ringing started at 5pm.
